OjeOje Copenhagen

Love at first sight
OjeOje is the first Danish eyewear brand that designs and produces ALL glasses in recycled plastic. All frames are made of recycled plastic, which originates from transparent plastic packaging used in the food and beverage industry. One-of-a-kind eyewear! Whether it's the reading specs or sunglasses, these cheeky, brightly colored eye-catchers will spread joy everywhere you go.
A good eye for the colorful look
At OjeOje, they believe that eyewear is much more than a utilitarian necessity! Your specs should accentuate your eyes, enhance your appearance, and complement your expression of individuality. When you try on a pair of glasses, that feeling of 'yeah' should be palpable, and noticeable! That's the idea behind OjeOje: to create eye-catching eyewear and spread joy with brightly colored recycled plastic.
Pay attention to the details
At OjeOje, they have a keen eye for detail, and the design expertise to match! As one of the founders of the popular eyewear brand ‘Have A Look’, the co-founder and creative director, Mette Wotkjær, has many years of experience in eyewear design. Since launching her design career, Mette has been at the cutting edge of eyewear fashion and developed a reputation as a specialist in sustainable solutions.
Striking Danish design
OjeOje is your guarantee of high-quality Danish design. The company is located just north of Copenhagen, a bustling metropolitan centre renowned for its enchanting architecture, delightful little boutiques, and the boundless inspiration it offers to the creative eye. The team harnesses that inspiration in the design of the ultra-stylish eyewear. What's more, every frame is made entirely from recycled materials. In short, the extensive experience in fashion and design ensures both women and men have a truly unique range of designer eyewear to choose from.
The sustainable choice has never been so eye-catching
At OjeOje, they keep a constant eye on the climate situation and actively source materials that will have the greatest impact. This means that all the frames are made of recycled plastic, which originates from transparent plastic packaging used in the food and beverage industry. Instead of ending up as waste in a landfill site – or worse, polluting the environment – it is recycled and transformed into a unique, cheeky, always colorful OjeOje reading glasses and sun readers, which you can mix and match to create an extra-eye-catching look.
• All the frames are made of recycled plastic, which originates from transparent plastic packaging used in the food and beverage industry. Phthalates free.
• Each pair of glasses comes with a FSC-certified paper case in robust and water resistant design.
• The hand-sewn cases are made from upcycled old fabric scraps sourced through the Danish textile company, Kvadrat. The cases are sewn in Denmark by the organization Soroptimist, a global volunteer organization. They work at a local, national and international level to educate, empower and enable opportunities for women and girls. All profits from the sale of the cases go to Soroptimist to support their cause.
• The upcycled hand-knitted cords for glasses are made from no-waste yarn through the Danish company, Coffee Beanies, which works to create better farmers in Burundi.
• They also design and handcraft reading glasses from existing glasses, which have been mix together in a new, colorful and sustainable way. The purpose of the upcycled reading glasses is to emphasize the focus on upcycling. There is no reason for OjeOje to burden our planet by constantly producing new. All must take responsibility and rethink.
• They keep a wary eye on the climate situation and strive to have the greatest possible impact with their projects. All the frames are designed in Denmark, then produced and shipped from our carefully selected supplier in Taiwan. They further reduce the CO2 footprint by exclusively using FSC-certified cardboard and paper and the absolute minimum packaging possible.
• They support the Danish environmental organization Plastic Change, which fights to achieve ambitious national goals for the reduction and recycling of plastic.
• They donate reading glasses to refugee camps in Mizoram through CHO (Chin Health Organization).
• They donate reading glasses to women in Burundi and Bangladesh through the Danish slow fashion company Coffee Beanies and the Danish interior design company Manelleh. They want to have an eye on better standard of living for women all over the world.
• They collaborate with the Danish Væksthuset, where they help young people who need extra help and support in the employment market.
Together they open the world's eyes for the climate and each other!
